GET CONNECTED

Good things come in small packages, as the saying goes. And no relationship ever became intimate in a room full of 200 people. That's why small groups are the life-blood of community at OneLife. It's in core groups, KidsLife, youth groups and other kinds of small groups that we find it easiest to become friends, share burdens, and celebrate together. It's where we learn to trust one another. We help, and are helped. We pray, play, serve, and learn together. In small groups we practice loving each other like Jesus loves us and from there, he makes all kinds of good things come our way.

Below is a list of some of our different groups & social media sites designed to help create community and connection.

CORE GROUPS

Many who have been part of OneLife say, "If there is only one thing you get involved in at OneLife, it should be a core group."   That's because small groups are where a lot of the best stuff happens. Sign-ups take place three times a year, before each "trimester" begins. Groups can be focused on Bible study or a shared interest, like parenting. honest conversation, and caring and praying for each other are always included. Our cores are varied and diverse just like our church and happen at various times and locations all over Seattle.  If you're looking for a chance at intimate friendships, and to grow in your faith core groups are one of the the best places for that.

  • KidsLife

We love kids at OneLife and believe that encouraging kids in their faith must go beyond what happens on Sunday morning.  As a result, in addition to our KidsLife Sunday services, our kids look forward to many special events, such as, our KidsLife Friday Night Blasts, Vacation Bible School, family bowling nights, KidsLife Choir, unique service opportunities, summer bbq's, Christmas parties, camps, and more!  We also offer parenting classes as a way to support the entire family. For more information about upcoming KidsLife events and activities or to find out how to get involved with our KidsLife programs please contact our KidsLife Director.

  • THE MIX YOUTH COOPERATIVE

The Mix Youth Cooperative is a group of Jr. & Sr. high students from different churches, schools, cultures, & communities joining together to explore what it means to be followers of Christ in the everyday life.  The Mix meets every Wednesday evening at OneLife, from 7 to 9pm, and includes teens from sixth through 12th grade.  For more info about The Mix Youth Cooperative , upcoming teen events, camps, youth worship nights, etc. check out the official Mix website HERE.

  • College & young adults

For college-age young adults we support a ministry called University Christian Fellowship (UCF) that meets on Friday nights. The place is at the University of Washington and the time is usually 7 pm (sometimes earlier if a meal is included). College-agers from OneLife as well as from other places attend. It's a great time of music and worship, "unpacking" a section of the Bible, and just being together as friends.

In addition to the larger UCF meeting on Fridays, there are small groups meeting mid-week, both on and off campus. Usually 6-8 people, these groups are student led and create space for more in-depth conversation and questions about Jesus, the Bible, spirituality and life in general.

For more info, or to become part of a UCF group: contact them HERE or look at the website at UCF CAMPUS MINISTRY.

  • ONELIFE GLOBAL - OUR LOCAL & GLOBAL MISSIONS TEAM

At OneLife we are committed to making the invisible God visible in our community and around the world by embodying the reign of Christ in word and deed. We can see the world's brokenness all around us, from famine in Africa to child prostitution on the streets of Seattle. We have hope, however, because we know that God has a plan for the world—a good and beautiful plan (Ephesians 1:10). He is working here to overcome sin, disease, poverty, injustice, and suffering, and to bring in a Kingdom of grace, reconciliation, healing, transformation, and justice. And we have the blessing of being an integral part of that plan! Through local and global ministry partners and outreach programs, we are working as a community to connect outside the church walls to embody God's hope for our community and world.
